Daniel M. Sabatini


Dan is known as one of the region’s best designers and has received numerous awards for design excellence, including the 2012 Kansas Business Journal Capstone Award in Green Design, 2009 AIA Kansas Award for Excellence in Renovation/Preservation, 2008 AIA Kansas Merit Award for Excellence in Architecture, 2006 AIA Renovation/Preservation Citation Award, 2006 SARA Design Excellence Award, 2006 and 2005 Lawrence Realtors Association Architectural Enhancement Award, 1998 Electrical League of Missouri and Kansas Commercial Lighting Award, 1995 Kansas Preservation Award, 1995, 1991 and 2000 IESNA Illumination Design Award.

As founding principal of Sabatini Architects, Dan focuses on people-oriented design. Dan believes in the power of architecture to influence and better our lives and society. He uses his knowledge and expertise in design and the marketplace, gained from over twenty-five years of practice, to educate the community and help clients achieve their goals. He focuses on simple and common elements that better connect us to the places we live, work, play and pray. Dan has a genuine desire to involve clients in the design process. He provides each client with innovative ideas that bring function and design together.

Dan has successfully shepherded sustainable projects as the prime architect and provided LEED consulting to other architects and contractors. Dan has maintained a high degree of environmental standards throughout his 25-plus year career and not just as a “green fad.”
